Symptom:
- After downloading Microsoft Updates, you cannot sign in to Windows Live Messenger.
- Passwords are not remembered even on some programs (ie Outlook, Skype, etc...)
Reason:
- Computer needs to reboot to apply the changes.
- A firewall is preventing Windows Live Messenger from connecting to the network.
1. Restart your computer. (Sometimes, it may take up to two restarts) 2. Verify that Windows Live Messenger is allowed by your firewall. Visit http://spaces.msn.com/messenger-support for a step by step guide.
3. Remove and reinstall Windows Live Messenger.
4. Download the newest version from the link below:
